Our Philosophy

Our Approach
- Our team of experienced therapists uses a client-centered approach, working collaboratively with our clients to identify their goals and develop a customized treatment plan. We also place a strong emphasis on building a trusting and supportive therapeutic relationship.
Our Services
- We offer a variety of counseling services to meet the unique needs of our clients, including individual therapy, couples counseling, and group therapy. We also offer specialized services for issues such as addiction, anger management, and grief and loss.
Our Providers
Simeon Schlossberg
- Dr. Schlossberg completed his doctoral studies in Counseling Psychology at The University of Connecticut, and joined the faculty at McDaniel College (formerly Western Maryland) in 1997.
- His research interests include resiliency in adolescent depression, treatment modalities for anxiety in adolescents and adults, bullying and de-escalating power struggles for kids and families, and addressing failure to launch in young adults.
- He has been in clinical practice in the Greenspring area since 2009, while continuing to teach graduate students as a Professor at McDaniel. He lives with his wife and four children in the Baltimore area.

Margaret Schlossberg
- Dr. Margaret Schlossberg came to Baltimore 23 years ago for her post-doctoral clinical training at Johns Hopkins in The Division of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. Her research area related to Cognitive Behavioral Treatment (CBT) of Mood and Anxiety disorders in children and families.In addition to her clinical practice, Margaret serves as a Clinical Consultant for The St Paul’s Schools, specifically advising faculty in Student Support Services. She has been involved in the Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) within primary and secondary school curriculums, and offers talks on building resiliency and social-emotional strengths in children andadolescents in schools.
- She completed her Doctorate at The University of Connecticut, with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy, and attended Bowdoin College for undergraduate studies.
- She lives in Baltimore with her husband, Simeon, and their 4 children, and has been in private practice in the Greenspring area since 2005.

Christina Kim
- Christina Kim received her master of clinical social work at Columbia University School of Social Work and master of education at Teachers College, Columbia University and attended New York University for herundergraduate studies.She works with children, adolescents, adults, and families utilizing an integrative approach including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused, Psychodynamic, Grief counseling, and Client Centered and Strengths-Based Therapy. She’s also trained in the RULER approach from the Yale Center for Emotional Intelligence.
- Christina has worked both in the school and private practice setting for 24 years.

Jackie Villet, LGPC, specializes in working with children, adolescents, and young adults since she earned her MS in Counseling at Johns Hopkins University and is now completing her licensure under the supervision of Dr. Margaret Schlossberg. Since 2005, she has cared children and teens in school and private settings building strong relationships and utilizing a blend of evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT), Solution-Focused Therapy, mindfulness techniques, and humanistic principles. Jackie offers support for individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, perfectionism, and related problems. With a particular interest in sports psychology, Jackie is passionate about supporting athletes in maintaining mental wellness, enhancing performance, and achieving a healthy balance both on and off the field or court. Her compassionate style helps clients build resilience, develop coping strategies, and foster personal growth.

Megan Kenney
- Megan has a diverse background in social work having worked at the Department of Social Services with foster children and families as well as inpatient settings at both Sheppard Pratt in their Respite and Residential Treatment Center (RTC) and Mountain Manor Treatment Center for adolescents struggling with addiction. For the past 19 years, Megan has worked with teens at both Notre Dame Preparatory School and The Boys’ Latin School where she has been the Director of Counseling for 12 years. Megan has a keen understanding of the challenges teens face today balancing academics, extracurricular activities and maintaining healthy interpersonal skills. Megan works from a Strengths Based Perspective, as well as utilizing strategies such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Solution-Focused Therapy. Megan integrates strategies of mindfulness as well as encouraging and building a growth mindset with her clients.
